Florida man accused of offering to pay a police officer to help him burglarize a pawn shop was arrested on a bribery charge, police said.

The Panama City Police Department said Daniel Norona, 24, of Panama City, was aware of the officer’s status as a police officer when he approached the officer and offered money in exchange for help with a burglary plan, WMBB-TV, Panama City, reported Friday.

Norona was arrested Tuesday and charged with briberyof a law enforcement officer and conspiracy to commit burglary.
