Two Indians and one Saudi man working at the King Fahad Airport in Dammam are to face a trial for accepting bribes at their workplace.
The three men accepted SR 1,500 from a Sri Lankan woman travelling from the Eastern Province city to allow her to carry excess baggage.
The woman travelling to her home country gave SR 1,000 to the Saudi and SR 250 to each of the Indian nationals to let her take excess baggage on the plane. Authorities will try the three members of the airport staff over bribery charges, reported Sabq news.
Readers have welcomed the move with comments that the issue of corruption must be addressed and that those who are found accepting bribes must be dealt with appropriately.
