Chul Woo Park was arrested and charged for bribery. Court documents state Park was at the Weigh In Station in Piti where he knew his vehicle would not pass inspection. When the officer asked the defendant for his business card, Park handed over the card along with $200 in cash indicating the money was a bribe.
As the officer called his supervisor, Park got down on his knees begging the officer for another chance. Park then ran into the nearby jungle before jumping into a white pickup truck that eventually was pulled over. Once pulled over, Park told officers he didn’t understand English.
He was taken back to the weigh in station where three employees identified him and he was arrested.
