The Appeals Court has upheld the ruling issued by the Administrative Court sentencing a former judge to prison for accepting bribes.
The judge was convicted of asking for a SR2 million bribe from a citizen, who ironically was also accused of accepting bribes, if the latter wanted a verdict in his favor.
The Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution (BIP) submitted a voice recording of the judge asking for the bribe, but the judge claims that he was set up and denied all charges against him.
