The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery and Corruption has arrested the principal of Matara Uyanwatta Primary Model School today.
The Bribery Commission stated that the principal was arrested when he attempted to receive a sum of Rs. 53,250 as a bribe from a parent to admit the child to the primary school.
The suspect who was arrested following a complaint, is to be produced before the courts.
