A subcontractor has been arrested and is expected to face 40 charges of soliciting bribes over the employment of foreign contract workers at a construction site in Johor.
The 45-year-old was expected to be produced before the Sessions Court in Johor Baru before the end of the week. It was understood the suspect would be charged under Section 16(a) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009.
Details on the arrest and investigation remained sketchy, but it was learnt investigations commenced after a report was lodged two years ago.
